Hood Ventilation Cleaning Service

State inspectors require nursing home hood systems to be cleaned twice a year.  We meet those requirements by cleaning the system and displaying paperwork proof of service, service stickers, and dated letter explaining the services provided.  We can do the same for your business or organization.

  1. Hang plastic around edge of ventilation hood.  Form a funnel to a garbage can or sewer drain.
  2. Remove all filters from the hood.
  3. If needed, hand scrape and remove heavy grease & soot areas of the hood.
  4. Using an FDA approved food degreaser spray:
    • Interior of the hood system
    • Vent duct system as far as physically possible
    • All exposed ansel piping
    • Air Filters
  5. Flush all degreased areas with water.  The dirty water flows into garbage cans.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all soot and grease are removed.
  7. When necessary, degrease and flush exterior ventilation fan.
  8. Re-install filters.
  9. Remove plastic and clean excess water from the hood.  Mop floors and dry excess water from equipment.
